Why?
For those embarking on their journey post diagnosis, it can be a confusing and challenging time, where just having the ability to talk to someone and ask questions can be a huge help. The same is true for those supporting someone who is neurodiverse, too; the ability to speak to someone with or ask questions is extremely valuable, too.
However, in both situations, there is a lack of easy-to-access support or resources, meaning that good-to-talk often translates as hard-to-talk.
What?
To address this, ndchat.app was created. Using the power of AI but based on real people and authentic voices of those with similar experiences, it allows both neurodiverse people and those supporting them to engage in a simple, anonymous conversation where they can ask questions and hear about.
A free service, it is not intended to offer a diagnosis or any medical advice or support; instead, it is designed to share experiences and points of view from those who have been in a similar situation, in the hope that it might help.
Who?
The voices you can talk to are all based on real people with real experiences of living and supporting those with neurodiversity.
Whilst not medical experts, they have lived with neurodiversity in different forms in everyday life and, as a result, have points of view and shared experiences that can help those just beginning their journey, or that can be useful to those supporting a friend or loved one embarking on theirs
